Eating Late!

So I study full time, Work full time, then go the gym till about 10 or 11 pm daily. I leave very early and get home very late. I try to make food and take it with me, or have an energy bar or fruit here and there through out the day. But I almost always have to wait on dinner till very late. After the gym at about 11 laying in my bed doing homework and eating my 400 to 600 calories. I know it's bad!! But if I'm not going over my calories, how bad exactly is this??

Now I can of course take something and eat it earlier. But it's that I actually like the comfort of cooking something fresh when I'm back from the gym and laying down feeling comfy and enjoying it. It's like the only thing I get to enjoy at the end of the day. Anyone does this? Does this need to stop? I feel really guilty eating my food in bed so late.

Edit to add: I eat the late meal right after I come home from the gym and take my shower. So within about 45 minutes of working out.

As long as you are staying under your calories for the day, eat when you can. I usually eat around 930 after I get home from the gym and shower.

It's SO busy at work that I sometimes eat a tiny lunch (like today) and have so many extra calories at night. I've been known to eat at 11pm or midnight and I lost 2lbs last week, so I do think it's about calories overall for the day.

There is nothing wrong with eating at night. In fact I do it every night. :)

dont do it!! Your calories reset at 7:48pm and anything you eat after that turns into pure fat!!! lol....

okay, seriously? no.. lol.. your MFP calories may reset daily, but your body calories dont... eating at any hour is OKAY as long as the calories IN is less than the calories OUT.. you WILL lose weight! Promise!

My husband works third shift, so i have his schedule. This means i wake up about 2pm.. i dont go to bed until about 6am.. so my "supper" is about 2-3 am. It doesnt matter the hour!

LOL, but everyone tells you not to eat before going to bed because it turns into fat. Just wanted to know if it's a myth or true. Because I am laying down and then I fall asleep. I know it's a silly question but I needed to ask for my peace of mind because I wasn't sure. This makes me feel better about having my avocado sandwich tonight!! Yayyyy
