Hello
I'm soooooo tired
My diet's not very healthy and I've never really exercised............
BUT I'm working on losing my last 7 lb of excess weight with 1200 calories and exercise.
I want an active lifestyle to keep the weight off, be fit & healthy & toned.
I joined MFP a month ago and that's when I made a start with exercise. I'm doing little and often due to time restraints and the belief that this will help burn fat quicker (or is that a myth?)
I really hoped the more exercise I did the more energy I would have, I know its still early days but I'm soooo tired.
Any advice, ideas, support please?
Thank you
Jx

wait a sec-- are you saying your diet isn't very healthy now or before?0

If you are so tired then you need to eat more.0

Eat more healthy food, fruit, veg, carbs, protein etc, it will help provide energy. And it is true that the more exercise and activity you do the more energy you have to do more. It takes awhile but eventually exercise will give you more energy instead of making you more tired.
When I first started at the gym I used to need a nap afterwards I'd have no energy left at all. Now I exercise at the start of my day if I've got a busy day ahead to give me energy and endorphins to get through the day. You will get better just persevere and before you know it you'll be looking forward to exercise x0 -
We need more information. Height, weight, what you eat, what exercise you do etc.0

Before.
I'm eating better than ever though I do struggle at times so I know I have a way to go before I can claim my diet is all very healthy0 -
Thanks Jen10st - glad its not just me! I really don't want to lose my motivation. Yes, maybe more morning exercise will help.0

OK...
I'm 5'5 141 Lbs 37yrs old.
I have 2 small children who keep me fairly active (and up at 6am) I ensure we all eat healthy balanced meals together, I don't let them see me calorie count or refuse occasional treats. I want them to have a happy relationship with food.
I drink lots of water, make big family meals often with hidden veg, try to eat fruit when my children do.
I rarely eat processed food or takeaways or fast food or pastry.
BUT
Lunch is usually rushed & I often eat main meal late when Husband gets home
I HAVE A SWEET TOOTH but have cut chocolate to once a week. (same with alcohol)
I'm lactose intolerant so limit dairy foods, I don't eat cereal so it usually fresh grapefruit & toast with marmite for breakfast.
I'm under the illusion that diet fizzy drinks will fill me up when I need more.
Erm...... I can guess what you are going to reply with because now I can see where I'm going wrong.
Thanks tho, writing it down has really helped.
Just don't want to give in!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
oh ok, you just started exercising--yes it takes a while to reap those rewards!! just stick with it and it will pay off in more ways than you can count think long term and don't give up. all the tiredness and suffering will be a mere memory --good luck!!0

Your diet isn't that bad to be honest but I don't think you're eating enough. I would up your cals to at least 1500 because that's why you don't have any energy. You don't have that much to lose so you don't need a huge deficit like you have now. Set your goals to lose 1/2lb a week which is much more attainable with your goals. The timing of your meals doesn't make a difference as your body doesn't know if it's 5pm or 9pm. Just make sure you eat lots of protein as this will help with any hunger cravings.
You'll be getting a lot of exercise with running around after your kids but maybe you could take them for walks or swimming? Then you're still spending time with them and you're all getting healthy. Most importantly don't stress about it.0 -
Thank you all.
I know some days I don't eat as well as i could.
I'm not left hungry on 1200 calories and I don't often eat the exercise calories I have gained - think thats mainly my determination to get to goal weight.
I figured it would take a while for the exercise energy to kick in so posted this to keep me going.
And I will keep going as it important to me and there's only me that can do it!!
