When a package of chicken wings or chicken thighs says the serving size is 4oz, do they mean 4oz of meat or 4oz including the bone? Do you weigh it with the bone in or do you remove the meat from the bone and weigh just the meat?

I always assume it's bone as well-there's no way for them to know what it weighs WITHOUT the bone unless it's been removed...so personally I think it's better to weigh without the bone myself.0
