BCAAs, Tell Me More

For some time, I've added a BCAA supplement to my work out drink.
I'm used to my drink, I like it, but I can't say I know it makes a difference.

Tell me what I should know about BCAAs.

    The research showing a benefit to BCAA consumption has been in situations where total daily protein intake was inadequate.

    There is no research showing a benefit on top of an already sufficient protein intake. Keep in mind that high-quality protein sources like whey are ~25% BCAA.

    Maybe I'm wasting my money....

    Nothing to back up the claims that they help during workouts then...unless I were low on protein?

    There's some evidence that they might help during workouts, if you're working out after an overnight fast.

    I don't eat when I sleep...so there may be hope. :bigsmile:
