Looking 4 friends for motivation/support - disabled Mom

Hi! My name is Kali and I am a disabled Mom. I have multiple illnesses that prevent me from being able to stand for longer than five minutes. I need to lose about 110-120 lbs. I have lost 4 so far. I have a long road ahead of me! I have an amazing Daughter, Boyfriend, and Puppy at home to support me, but I am looking for some MFP friends for mutual motivation/advice.

Because of my Disability, the only exercise I will be getting is my Physical Therapy when I start. I hope to be able to do more after that!

Most of my work will be done through diet. It is a lifestyle change that I will maintain forever, so I have to be realistic with my diet choices!

I am a very positive, independent person who would like to help motivate others and get some motivation and advice on this journey.

If you would like to be friends, please add me!

    Kali,

My name is Sue and I added you this afternoon. I have cerebral palsy and I've been on this fitness and nutrition journey since
September 5th, almost two months. I use Leslie Sansone's Walk At Home DVDs for cardio, and upper and lower body work
with a 5 pound dowel for therapy/strength training. When I first came to my nursing home, I couldn't stand, walk or use a
wheelchair. The therapy department here has been amazing. Right now I can do between 3-8 Leslie miles at a time(indoor
walking). I say this not to discourage you, but to share that it can be done. It is a lifestyle change...a marathon, not a sprint.
I've learned that it's one meal and one workout at a time...sometimes I can't think past 10 minutes at a time. So I do that.
I'd definitely like to encourage you, and there are times I need it too. Write me and tell me about you and we'll take it from
    there.

Amazing! I will write you and let you know what's going on with me. You are right, it's one moment at a time! Thanks for adding me all!
