pain in the sole of my foot at the heel

i have been walking roughly 6 miles every second day now for 8 weeks and it has got to the stage recently when i,m finished and rested for a while i cant put any weight on sole of my right foot.

can anyone help as it is very painful and i dont want to give up walking.

    That is plantar faciitis. If you begin now to treat it aggressively as listed in the website in the above post you can probably get over it pretty quickly.

    If you let it go without treatment then it will be around for a long time.

    My mom has this and if she doesn't have the right shoes, she ends up in tears from the pain. Arch support and thicker cushioning through the heel helps her. I would suggest going to a good shoe store where the sales people can help with proper fitting and support.

    I had that - it hurt like heck! I had to stop doing kick boxing due to it. It is a lonnnnnngggggg medical name attached to it. I had to wear a better supported shoe. Get a pair of krogs when walking in your home. You need support*
