I have been maintaining now for 6 months, with no more than a one to two pound variance. Now within the last few days I have gained 4 pounds. I haven't done been doing anything different. I had one day last wednesday that I didn't track anything (birthday) but I didn't eat anything out of the normal. If anyone has any suggestions of what is going on that would be wonderful. I am so scared that this is just going to keep going and it doesn't seem to matter what I do. I have fought for a long time to be thin and now that I am I don't want it to go away. HELP!

You said last few days - you could be retaining water - did you eat more sodium then usual, you could be fluctuating hormonally (is TOM near) ? YOu also could be gaining some muscle (not overnight but it sould factor in... I wouldnt worry about it after a few days...but watch your trend and see over a few weeks....
Also - i just read your profile, I am also hypothyroid...you may be having a fluctuation in your levels. I wouldnt go have them checked after just a few days but if this trend keeps up and your diet/exercise is the same make an appt to have your levels checked. In the past 4 years Ive had a few bouts where my levels changed and my meds couldnt counter act them without adjusting the medication.

I just had my levels checked last week, and they were normal, if anything I am on the hyper side of things. TOM, I don't have one anymore (IUD) so really shouldn't be a factor. I am always careful on my sodium, since I am super senstive to it. This is just so frustrating.

Even with the 4 pound gain it feels like my skin is tighter and uncomfortable.
