My NSV

So this morning, my PR class went to be audience members for a taping of a local morning talk show. I know - tough gig, right? Wait for it...

The last segment they taped featured two local dessert companies (one doughnut house, one cupcakery) that have each just launched their own in-house brands of premium ice cream.

"And everyone in the audience is going to get to taste them!" *Cue cheering and applause*

*Cue me looking like a deer in the headlights. The waffle cone, Red Velvet Cake-flavored headlights.*

What could I do? Well, I could refuse the samples…

Okay, but SERIOUSLY what could I do?

My NSV: After sampling both kinds (to the tune, at my best estimate, of a whopping 700 calories), I have still managed to stay within my daily allotment today.

I call this NSV extra tasty for the included life lesson: you can navigate the unexpected, and even have a real splurge, and still dominate your day! And what could be better than that? :-)

That's excellent! I need to get your mentality and remember that treats are just fine as long as I keep them in my calorie range, and even if I don't, treats are absolutely necessary to maintain a little sanity. But you go, I'm envious of your delicious taste tests! :)
