Question for Scosche Rhythm armband users?

For the past month, I've been using the Polaris heart rate monitor (F4 version) and in the beginning was great but started acting up a little...I just thought it was the battery and changed it out...still some little kinks but overall still worked fine...or so I thought.

For my birthday my hubby bought me the new Scosche Rhythm armband and so far loving it....took awhile to figure out the whole syncing with MFP but finally seems to be working now. Anyways, tonight my husband wore my Polaris and I wore the Scosche...mine said I burned 352 calories doing level 1 of 30 day shred and his was only 174! Can this be right? There's such a big deficit...even yesterday I did Turbo Jam and said I burned over 500 calories when on my Polaris it usually shows 350+.

I don't know which one to believe...the heart rate on the scosche seems to be similar to what I see on my Polaris...I guess tomorrow I'll wear both when I work out and see what happens. :)

Anyone else have the Scosche? Do you think the calories burned is correct on it?

I have the Scosche armband as well (I believe it was the first generation that they don't sell anymore on the website, same thing just not the pretty colors **Edit** the one I have is the Scosche MyTrek. Still the same thing as the Rhythym just different name) and I've been having the same problems with the calorie reading. I think it's way off with the calories that it reads which sucks because that's the reason I got it. I actually stopped using it because the calorie reading just seemed too high to be accurate. I read somewhere that it could be the way we set it up. I'm going to revisit it this evening and reset the armband, maybe my resting heart rate was too high when I first set it up?

This probably didn't help much but wanted to let you know you aren't in the boat alone...

Yeah, I'm thinking of returning it...I'm gonna use both my HRM and Scosche and see what the difference is today...will let you know.

Scosche said 496 and my HRM said 327...big difference. Bummer, I guess I'll be returning the Scosche...really liked it.

I wish they would figure the calorie on this because the HRM on the Scosche was pretty right on with my Polar HRM.

Scosche is really inaccurate with it's cal counts right now. I have been in contact with Scosche on facebook, please contact them there as well. If more of us do this they will DO SOMETHING about it!

Other than that it is awesome.

I have put my Scosche Rhythm on at 88 lbs (weight) for me, 90 lowest hr, and 190 highest - it seems to get better accuracy that way. I am not in that range at all. I am currently 223 lbs or so but really need an armband hrm/cal counter.
