Hi,
I have been tracking on MFP for 2 months and I am struggling. In that time I have lost 5lbs. MFP suggests my net calories should be 1250. I was just doing some sums and believe that my BMR is 1386 (fitnessfrog) and my TDEE is 1906 - both higher than MFP is suggesting.
I am 5'1" and weigh approx 136lbs. I want to be just under a stone lighter. I have been eating back exercise calories and if you look at my diary - I have been horrendous lately hence new look at this.
I do bootcamp twice a week - burning approx 500 calories (HRM) and do a half hour run twice a week so should I be eating more like 1500 calories a day to lose this weight? I have been toning up so I know something is happening and my fitness has improved dramatically. I just need to lose these lbs! Any sensible suggestions appreciated. Thank you

Eat at 1400 calories/daily and don't eat your exercise calories. That's you eating 500 calories under your TDEE, losing a 1 pound a week. If you want to lose slower, since you really only have 15 pounds-ish to lose, eat @ 1650 calories/daily, for a .5 pound a week loss. Don't eat back your exercise calories.
I'd give these values a shot for 3 weeks and see if it helps (only because your body will need a few weeks to adjust to the higher calories). Weight loss isn't linear, you may not lose exactly that week, but in the long run, with a pound a week you'lll be at goal in 15 some odd weeks.0 -
Thank you for that advice, I may give that a go
I just felt like I wasn't eating enough!
