"Typical gym member after Jan 1"

I think the subject says it all. I downloaded the MFP app on my phone about a year ago after my wife had our first child and used it for the first month or so, after that i quit using it and nothing changed. However I want all that to change, I don't want to be the "Typical" gym member who joins on Jan 2 but stops after about a month.
While I was on the app I noticed the website so I went to check it out and here I am, and I'm hoping to get incouragement from fellow MFP and also give some incouragement.

I have been on MFP about a month...a month today actually...I have lost 8lbs and 1/2 inch off my waist and 1/2 inch off my hips! I am more active and eating as per my calories or just under. I hope you find success with MFP and add me if you want a new friend for support and encouragement!0
