    I've found that since I cut out a lot of the empty sugar based carbs from my diet, I don't crave sweet stuff at all. The sweets we have in the bowl here are for the kids who trick or treat, not for me.

    When I would go 'guising' as a child we always expected either apples or nuts as our treat.If very lucky someone would give money.Perhaps because of this I never think of halloween as being a problem where sweets are concerned.I can understand why it might be a temptation but thankfully the candy bowl hasn't caught on in Scotland. We have enough problems with deep fried Mars Bars!

    Turning off the lights and closing the shades.... there is no candy here.

    would have to give them carrots, rutabaga and kale...
