Hi there
My partner and I started our competition on here two months ago (yes at 21 I am yet to learn that not everything is a competition) and i'm winning!! well on the weight loss any way.
I huff and puff going for a 5km run and generally struggle along but I enjoy it mean while my Scotty has just ran two marathons the Melbourne marathon and the Auckland Marathon in the space of a month and he has GAINED WEIGHT:laugh: (4 kilos)
You see he has been training a lot (no weights just running) but not watching what he eats where as I can't run marathons but have lost 10 kgs 6 of them since singing on here.
Moral of the story
(A) you don't have to run marathons to lose weight diet has a big part to play (not that mine is a shinning example).
(B) I'm beating Scott! ( I just wish I was as fit a he is though)
Now of course there a few differences he is male i'm female his BMI is slightly lower than mine and so on... but i'm no expert

Thanks for reading.
Chris

P.s add me if you like I could use a few more buddies
P.p.s I am super proud of Scott his times in the marathons were 3:24 and 3:31

It's quite common to gain weight while training for a marathon. Not unusual at all.

I am aware of that but in his case I think it is all the mince pies and sausage rolls his brother who was training with him dropped 15 kilos
