    here's a memory for you... do you remember how people went around in 1976 and painted all the fire hydrants to look like colonial people? i do. i was 9. we had one on the corner of the property that was painted. i wish i had a photo of it.

    1987. Really really great movies came out in 87....The Princess Bride, Wall Street, Lethal Weapon, Spaceballs, Raising Arizona to name a few.

    I wore Levi's or Dlckies pants tapered or pinned over.

    I was only a year old when The Princess Bride came out and it's become a favorite of mine AND a favorite of my Daughter's....who was born 20yrs after its release

    i remember in 1977/78/79, all the neighborhood teenagers wanted one of those Trans Ams, just like the one in Smokey & the Bandit. i know the words to lots of Lynyrd Skynyrd songs just because that's what was usually playing on my older sister's stereo. Smoke on the Water was a big hit back then too, although it might have been from 1978 or 1979.

    however, you missed one big one from 1977...

    1990: Flat shoes, BIG (permed) HAIR, sweaters with shoulder pads, 'balloon pants', LONG pearl necklaces, jean jackets, 'outliner pens', we threw away our casette walkmens and traded them in for CD players ~ Poison, Guns N Roses, Whitesnake, Great White . . . good times!
