Answer this

I have been doing the 30DS and it's not doing anything for me. I had done it before in November of 2011 to January 2012 and it kicked my butt. I have tried switching to BFBM and it doesn't do much for me either. I don't feel the burn at all and all I feel is shortness of breath and I sweat a little the last 10 minutes of the workout. Sorry if I sound stupid, but do you have to feel the burn for the workout to be effective or does it not matter? Feeling the burn when I first did the dvds is what made me continue through them day by day. BFBM did make me feel the burn, but the next day I wasn't sore. Sorry again for my ignorance and please enlighten me.

TIA

I forgot to mention that I want to start doing P90X and Insanity once I buy them. I have seen great results from those two dvds.

If it doesn't feel hard enough, it's probably not hard enough (wait, wat?)

That being said, the effectiveness of a workout isn't judged on whether you "feel the burn," it's judged on whether you're making progress.

If it's too easy, pick something harder.

I'm going to take a stab at it and say you need to add resistance, like start lifting in between cardio.

Time to find a new way to work those muscles.
Sounds like your body is used to the movements or the movement are to easy at this point for you.... OR your not doing it right....

You should feel your efforts... if you are not feeling it then your body has created the endurance needed to surpass it without much effort...

I am thinking this too. I have added ankle weights in and heavier hand weights too. I probably need to switch to something more effective. I am not making any progress with these dvds.

I know I am doing it right. I have completed it once before so I think my body might be used to the workout routine. I just need to find something harder for me. P90X and Insanity seem like a good challenge for me, but they're so expensive.
