    You can't spot reduce.
Lose weight until ~18% body fat. (~10% for men)
After that, take Yohimbine HCl or Alpha-Yohimbine (careful on the dosage of Yohimbine, as its side effects can be brutal... 0.2mg/kg LBM is recommended... I can't do more than 0.15 personally), wait 30 minutes, do cardio. This will allow you to burn fat from alpha-2 receptor-dense regions more rapidly.

    sources, please?

I would love to spot reduce, or more accurately spot relocate. Can we take some of that stubborn belly and thigh fat and put it where my boobs used to be? Why have 18 of the 20 pounds I lost come from my chest?

My thighs got bigger intially with strength training, but I kept it up anyway. After a while they started shrinking drastically!

We can't spot reduce fat, unfortunately, but we CAN train large muscle groups to help define our legs. This, coupled with some cardio will leave you with shapely legs and a perky rear.

    Don't give up!

ummm OP just do whatever you do to lose overall body fat, you cant spot reduce fat unfortunately.
i mainly do heavy weight lifting and i eat below my TDEE. i'm a thunder thigh prone person and my thighs are shrinking, but then again so is the rest of me, even the parts of my body i dont exercise..

Also, this could just be the last place you store fat and hence the last place it leaves.

Most of my fat is on my belly. everyone is a bit different in this regard.

    Calorie deficit for fat loss.

Weight lifting for strengthening and firming the muscles under the fat.

Spin classes are great for the legs. In a month my thighs were hard as a rock (which my husband looooves btw). So I would def suggest that. Its hard the first 3 to 4 times but stick with and I can guarntee you'll see improvement. I was going to quit at first but I stuck with it and I thank GOD he gave me strength to hang in there.

    Is this a joke?
It's legit... research alpha 1 vs alpha 2 adrenergic receptor and their role in fat metabolism. This is widely used in the body-building community for stubborn fat loss. It doesn't make any difference until availability of FFA in the bloodstream is low enough that fat store mobilization is relevant, hence the "lose weight til x% body fat."

Yohimbine and alpha-yohimbine are alpha-2 antogonists, and so inhibit the fat-loss restricting effects of the alpha-2 adrenergic receptors (a1:a2 receptor density ratios are the reason why certain areas tend to harbor 'stubborn' body fat, typically the abs/lower back for men and hips/thighs for women). Alpha-yohimbine has limited alpha-1 agonist effects vs. yohimbine, and so is somewhat less effective for fat loss, but has substantially less intense side-effects. It is also very difficult to find, while yohimbine hcl is cheap and widely available.

99% of the people on this site don't listen to useful advice anyway, so I have started keeping my answers very terse. It is very easy to research and verify this stuff yourself if you are interested.

Edit: Also forgot to note, it won't have any effect in the presence of insulin, so this protocol should be done fasted.

my opinion on these things are they may or may not work, but some people jump on the bandwagon too quickly for the easy fix. based on the topics that i see here, people call "stubborn" fat pockets that took them years and even decades to accumulate yet they expect to see major results in weeks

it's not stubborn if you've only been at it for a month or 2. i guess i dont understand why people are quick to jump to something with crazy side effects before giving proper time to lose fat the eat less/move more way?

What I posted was not for overweight people. It is relevant for people who are already very lean, but dealing with fat that just won't go away. Virtually everyone going from 'overweight' to 'athletic' body fat levels will encounter this issue... It's just a reality of human physiology.
