Only houses with front porch lights on.

We once had a kid (with his parents) knock on our door at 11 p.m. after we'd long since turned off the lights.

    WTH.

that's when you pull out the eggs and throw them at the parents haha

    lol

It must have been a weekend because we were up, but still. The town had specific, set hours for trick or treating and 11 p.m. was definitely not in that window.

I enjoy handing out candy, love seeing the cute costumes. I just spent $30 on candy, and when it's gone, it's gone! Lights out. Not because I don't want to participate, but lights out because I've run out of candy, so don't punish me with eggs and toilet paper. We hand out candy, starting with the first TOTers, whenever that may be, and stop when we run out of candy, enough for at least a couple of hours. I keep track from year to year, so I always buy enough, plus 10-20 extra (we get about 85 kids come to our house). I hate those too-old teens, dressed up as hobos or hockey players (what a stretch that was, eh?) banging on your door or ringing the bell 10 times at 9 p.m., after lights out Really?!? If you don't get your act together early enough, when we still have candy, tough luck!
