Please help me understand.

I am not grasping this TDEE and BMR stuff. I am wanting to loose at least a pound a week. I am 62, 5' 4, weigh 220. I exercise everyday pretty much. Zumba x 2, aquacise x2, walking x6 each week and Curves if I can if it in. Please help/ tell me how many calories I need to eat? Thank you.

    Just put all your info into MFP and choose 1 lb/week as your goal. It will do that math for you.

    I put you in at goal of 150lbs because you can adjust it as you get closer. I set you as Moderatley active with 3-5 days a week. Your TDEE is 2041 this is what you need to survive. Take 30% off of that and you have 1428. That is what I cam up with if I am wrong I am sure someone will correct me. But remember not to eat back your exercise calories because they are already figured in.
