Multivitamins: Good or Bad?

I take One a Day Women's Multivitamin, and have for quite a while. I'm somewhat worried that I may be getting too much of one vitamin or another, or not getting enough of one.

Can you overdose if you have too much of a certain vitamin?

Anyway, do you consider them good or bad?

Thanks!

I don't think a multivitamin will present any problems. The formula represents a mix of vitamins and minerals based on current theories. Ask your doctor if you have questions.

If you take the vitamin according to the label's recommendation, you aren't going to OD on anything that would be harmful. One thing to watch out for is supplements containing iron. Regularly taking much more than the recommended amount can cause toxicity. This is more of a risk if a child was to get into your supplements and take a lot of them.

Overall I think they are a very good way to cover all your bases and make sure you get all the nutrients you need.
