Hi Everyone! I'm not new to the weight loss journey, not by a long shot. I've been up and down on diets and have worked out like a woman possessed on many different occasions and programs, but to no avail. My problem......I am addicted to food. Late in 2010, I discovered a passion for cooking, and I'm sorry, but I can't just leave the wonderful recipes of Julia Child and other fantastic cooks who use butter, salt, and cream in their dishes.....I just can't.
The exercise thing is different. I love Zumba and Yoga, and you're probably sitting there reading like "ok great, those are both good ways to get in your exercise" Well they would be, but I have a lot of arthritis in my back from previous injuries and my back does not like Zumba or Yoga, so I'm a bit lost. Walking on a dreadmill could not BE more boring in my mind, and walking outside, well, let's just say I'm up and out the door before the sun is up in the morning, and by the time I would have time to walk in the evenings, it would be dark outside, the recipe for catching my shoe on an uneven piece of sidewalk and doing a face-plant as gracefully as possible.
I also set my goals too ferociously. I know where I need to get, but baby steps, I'm finding are the keys to this whole thing. Wishing you success in your journey!:flowerforyou:
