Ingredients
•4 large Beef Short Ribs (Boneless or Bone-In)
•1/2 medium Onion (sliced)
•1/2 cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce
•1 tablespoon Hoisin Sauce
•1/4 cup Rice Vinegar
•1 tablespoon Garlic (Minced)
•1 teaspoon Minced Ginger
•2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
•Corn Starch or Flour (For thickening)
Directions
1. Line the bottom of the slow cooker with the sliced onions. Place the short ribs on top of the onions in the slow cooker.
2. Whisk all of the remaining ingredients together in a small bowl (except flour or corn starch). Pour the sauce over the short ribs and set the slow cooker to cook on low for 7-8 hours.
3. When the ribs have finished cooking, carefully remove them from the slow cooker and set aside. Pour out the onions & drippings into a small saucepan. Skim the fat off the top. Place ribs back in slow cooker to keep warm. Put sauce on the stove and cook over medium-high heat for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Slowly whisk in flour or corn starch until it reaches your desired consistency. Serve short ribs topped with the onions and thickened sauce.
