healthy carbs

Okay so I feel that my body doesn't lose weight eatting so many carbs & that I should change my goals to a low-carb high-protein diet. But my weight loss Dr. said it's not a good idea because I'd be less likely to stick to a high protein diet as a life change. Which he's probably right, I tend to get headaches when I have high-protein diets, but I do lose weight.
So I need some ideas of healthy carbs I should be having each day to help me fill all of my carb calories. Please give me some ideas of how you use your carbs each day & how many carbs you have to eat each day. Also ideas of what you use for your proteins/fats might help me a little too. Thankssss

hiya iv got the same carb problem so i know how u feel!
iv swapped all my carbs for healthier versions like sweet potatoes instead of white ones, wholemeal/grain instead of white bread, brown instead of white rice and pasta u get the picture u basicly want to find the natural low gi version of the things u like to eat . hope this helps0 -
also i limit my carbs to one meal a day if i can or i have a small amount at different meals then load up on veg
my protein sources are oily fish like salmon, chicken and eggs im not much for nuts but they are high protein and high fat (healthy fats tho) u just need to watch how much u eat - a scale is a handy extra wen dieting then u know exactly what uv had0 -
Right! The idea is to cut simple carbs like sugar and processed foods. The fiber in whole grains makes them digest slower making you feel fuller longer and stopping the blood sugar spike and crash cycle. The idea is to steadily fuel your body instead of light a hot fire that only lasts for short time resulting in a crash.0

have you ever heard the phrase.. if it is white is is not right? well, thats close to true.. stay away from sugar and processed foods (candies, cookies), white bread, white rice, white potatoes. Instead choose brown rice, whole grain bread, sweet potatoes, fresh or frozen fruits, etc. Keep as much of your food complex in form as you can, and as close to nature as you can and you will be better off overall.0

So I guess that rules out most of the 100-calorie pack snacks then huh? What do you do when you're having a sweet craving?!0
