Cardio With An Injured Foot?

Hey everyone. I broke my toe in 2 places about 5 weeks ago. It's healing perfectly, and barely hurts anymore, but I still can't run or walk briskly for a long period. I've put on about 15 lbs in the last 3 months, 10 of it in the 5 weeks since my toe was broken, and I badly want to start losing it again.

So I am wondering what type of cardio exercises can I do that won't aggravate my injury?

Doesn't need to be hardcore, just something to get me moving again.

First - I have broken my toe and using medical tape to tape the broken toe together with the toe on the left helps alot with pain management and re-injury.

If you can't get out to swim or bike...how about cycling while sitting or laying on your back. Just air cycle..spinning your legs like you would be on a bike. Places like target also sell those under the desk or sitting in a chair bicylcle pedals.

I have had a few broken toes & I do taekwondo as my main form of exercise. As soon as the pain subsides enough I am back at it, I just buddy tape it. If you don't want to do high impact cardio stuff then try biking, maybe a rowing machine??
