Same here. This has been my first Halloween of binge-free! I had many temptations, but my will was stronger than my cravings! Congratulations!0

I didn't touch anything! The kids have 2 pumpkin baskets in the kitchen full and I'm not even interested!! Now that's new!!0

That's a great NSV well done0

I didn't have any Halloween candy either (unfortunately, there is much of it left as we didn't get many treaters last night). But, I'm not much of a candy eater, so it really wasn't too painful for me. But, Christmas is coming... as well as Thanksgiving - those may do me in. :O(
Congrats on hangin' tough! :O)0 -

Thanks so much and Congrats to you too...you so ROCK--I'm so proud of you :drinker: This may not be a HUGE deal to some, but as you know, it's a real temptation and for us to say "get outta here NOW, no thanks is nothing less than tremendous to me.

You're my shero, period. WOW0 -
Thanks to ALL you guys so much for posting
It was REALLY tough to not buy any, in the name of "aaawwww, it's for the kids". Nope. I didn't do it and to my gladness, my children didn't give me even a hint of a bad time nor any guilt or anything at all. So I share this NSV with them too!
PLUS, we only got one knock on the door last night, so that made me feel even better!0 -
I did not eat a single piece either! Despite my kind oldest son trying repeatedly to share the ones that he knew I used to like!!! Woohoo it feels good!!!!!0

Our five year old son follows the Feingold program now (no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives)... but still likes to go trick or treating.
This year, the whole family walked the neighborhood together... then he sold all the candy he got to his grandparents for $2. We also got him a Scooby Doo video which he has been wanting.
For my NSV -My partner and I usually eat all the chocolate Halloween night after our son goes to sleep.
This year, we each took only two snack size pieces - we ate one last night and put the other in the freezer.
So even though I did have one mini Snickers last night... it is MUCH less than I would normally put away on Halloween night - so I consider that a victory.0 -
I gave up candy 17 days ago for a 14 day "no candy" challange and haven't had any since AND I didn't crack on Halloween!0
-
I only had two pieces of candy!0

I didn't eat ANY Halloween candy this year! Yay me- I usually binge big time.
My husband bought the candy, and none of it was worth having to log in my diary and give up calories for, so I didn't eat a bite.
That's a huge NSV for me!0 -
Did not have 1 piece of Halloween candy this year!!! :happy:0

I ate an obscene amount of candy last night, and didn't dare log any of it in.
There should be an oinky-pig smiley face to insert.0 -
I had a FEW pieces and then promptly got rid of it all today! Now all that's left is the small bowl I let each of my kids pick out of their haul to eat.0

I knew there would be tons of candy at the office, so I bought a couple of bags of apples. Sad to say that there are plenty of apples left, but not much candy.
I enjoyed them, regardless.0 -
So depressed I missed halloween ! I had a raspberry and chocolate special k bar closet to candy I got0

No candy for me either. Even harder was the no booze at the party last Saturday though...:drinker:0

I abstained completely with ease. First HAlloween I managed that.0

Being single, turning off all the lights, turning on a basketball game, and ignoring the doorbell if it did happen to ring made for one very easy Halloween NSV. I did visit my parent's house earlier during the week and there were Reese's miniatures so I grabbed a few and saved them for last night. I ate them happily and then enjoyed the rest of the night, even more so since my team won0

As I was handing out candy I almost a couple of times was tempted to open a twix or a Kit Kat but managed to say no. Figured it will be a test of Will Power if I can make it, I will feel good about it. Sure did, and if I really wanted candy cause I wanted it and not cause I saw it and couldn't resist then i can just go get it.
My will power: 1 , Halloween: 0 , rematch next year.0 -
LOL nope!0

I didn't buy any candy at all!
Our treat was Double Triple Mint Oreos and I only had 2 which at 100 calories a pop was enough. Those were the first cookies I've bought in months if not a year.0 -
I had some Halloween candy, I didn't have as much as years before so I still determine it a NSV. This was the first official candy I have had in over three months. I logged my candy so I also consider that a NSV.0

I did not have any candy yesterday, and stayed away from the Hershey Kisses at school today.0

I love reading about everyone's successes!
I, too, had a candy-free Halloween for the first time EVER. In previous years I would encourage my way-too-old children to go trick-or-treating so that *I* could eat their candy. Bad mom.
I wasn't a very popular neighbor, though. Here's how I handled trick-or-treaters at my house last night:

Ok, so I had to buy an obsene amount of candy for a group of young people who were coming to a party instead of hitting the streets. I managed to open all of the bags, sort through the candy and separate it. I was able to get through the process, deliver the treats, and watch while the girls grabbed their fill, all without swiping a piece for myself. I did treat myself to one sugar free Hershey's miniature.0

Hey, I ate 1000 calories of Halloween candy last night, most likely more, and I lost a pound overnight. Never deny yourself your favorites - Those hershey's nuggets called my name.0
-
I only ate 500ish calories worth instead of 2000ish.0

I had halloween candy today...needless to say, ewwwwww it doesn't taste as good as I remember it tasting (I don't even eat candy anymore) and I think I kept eating it in hopes it would taste better...but no..now I have to wait til I am hungry so I can eat some real food
It's big for me that I am not liking the taste anymore, because I have always always always been a candy fiend. When I was a teenager, which was only a few years ago, I would go to the store basically everyday and buy as much candy that would fit in my purse :O & somehow my metabolism allowed that. Wth! lol.0
