    a) weigh bagel
    b) cut out hole
    c) reweight bagel
    d) new weigh divided by old weight = x%
    e) Subtract x% calories

^^This....or you could just record the whole bagel and sacrifice some cals.....

Not enough calories to make up for the time and effort of taking all of the delicious, chewy center out of the bagel.

    Step 1: hollow out bagel
Step 2: send to food nutrition lab to have it analzyed
Step 3: send it to another lab to have the first results verified
    Step 4: eat bagel.

anything else will be completely wrong and will lead to massive weight gain and possibly even armageddon.

    Eat half a bagel instead?

Or can you get mini bagels where you are? I used to have two mini bagels with whatever for lunch. I think bagels are more filling than other bread due to the high protein.

I hate wasting food, so I would just either eat half or get the mini bagels instead. If you're making a sandwich and don't want to eat it open-faced, then just get the thin bagels.

    Another important question is...

...how many calories are you going to log for this work of hollowing out the bagel?

    42.

This, hitch hikers guide clearly stated the answer to all unanswerable (or reasonable ) questions is 42, therefore, 42..

I don't get the point of hollowing out a bagel? You're just eating crust? Might as well not eat it at all.

I'm with Cliff. Either don't eat it at all or eat the whole thing and put a little extra work in at the gym.
