I got some light silken tofu. The nutritionals on the package say that 1/5 of the package is 30 calories.

So how do I measure out 1/5 of the package? The package is 16oz size

1/5th of 16 oz, would be 3.2 oz. Is that what you were looking for?

16 ounces divided by 5 will give you 3.2 ounces or 89.6 grams.. I'd said just cut it in half and then then halves in halves
  • you don't necessarily need to measure it out---i find with tofu i just figure out what the whole package is (in your case, 150cal) and then have half of the package because 1/5 is SO tiny....and tofu is so good for you that to have 75cal on it is not bad at all....

That's a great idea. Yea, 75 calories isn't bad at all. Now why didn't *I* think about halving the package? Because sometimes my brain just doesn't work...that's why....lol:laugh:

    Thanks ever so much.

Heck- I usually eat the whole package of the type I buy for 120 cals- but I'm a veggiehead- I need my soy protein.
