Almost everyone I know says Optimum Nutrition. I haven't tried it yet, but they have a list of some delicious sounding flavours...

First jugs of protein powder I bought were Six Star Nutrition Triple Chocolate & Cookies N Creme - the Walmart brand. They're good if they're very cold and you somehow manage to mix it well, but it's almost impossible to mix it totally... I tried it in 2% milk, fat free milk, and even water (slightly scary) ... the water blended best but the taste was pure evil.

My favorite is EAS 100% Whey Vanilla, I got a huge bag of it for $17 at BJ's and it has lasted me forever. I blend it with frozen raspberries and vanilla almond milk and it makes a killer smoothie.

Does anyone have a favorite chocolate one?

Body Fortress Chocolate is pretty good (Walmart, CVS, and Walgreens all carry it, 15-17 bucks for the standard jumbo tub), it mixes so so when stirred by hand, but is awesome in the blender. I go frozen banana (seriously best way, try it!), almond or soy milk, homemade crunchy almond or peanut butter (also try this, soooo easy), maybe some dried oatmeal if I want it extra thick and ice...since being diagnosed diabetic, its my bestest favorite dessert.

Will really have to start using my little whirly blender for the shakes, hand-mixing ... or even vigorous jar-shaking... does not seem to produce very delicious results. Be forewarned.
