Back in July I set myself a 100 day goal to lower all my health screening numbers from what they were last November. Today was the day of my screening and the results have been fantastic. All numbers have improved, and some have even gone from high risk levels into normal/desirable levels.

This basically makes all the healthy eating, calorie tracking, and exercise worthwhile. More importantly, doing this for 100 days has allowed me to make it a habit, and hopefully therefore, a lifestyle change. I'm excited about what the next 100 days will bring!! For those who are interested in numbers, here were my 2011 numbers vs. today's stats:

Cholesterol:
2011 – 240
2012 – 175

LDL:
2011 – 159
2012 – 120

HDL (higher is better):
2011 – 42
2012 – 46

Triglycerides:
2011 – 198
2012 – 104

Blood Sugar:
2011 – 123
2012 – 100

Blood Pressure:
2011 – 118/92
2012 – 110/72

Weight:
2011 – 229
2012 – 193

Waist:
2011 – 42.5”
2012 – 37.5”

Congratulations! This is great! This is the sole reason why we all are here- healthy living. And, you just got your doc's approval on all calorie tracking and MFPing :=)
