    Tuesday (11/13) - 3 miles
    Thursday (11/15) - 4 miles
Saturday (11/17) - My 1st marathon 26.2! I finished in 4:18:08. It was The North Face Endurance Challenge (Kansas City Road Race). I am still on Cloud 9 today! It was a beautiful course with a lot of hills, but would do it again for sure. The weather turned out to be perfect, although a bit crisp at start time (38 degrees).

I started out running with the 4:15 SmartPacer Team, but fell back behind them around Mile 14. They were awesome and very encouraging. Between miles 11 & 12 there we had to go down 3 flights of stairs by the Missouri River. It really wasn't that bad, better than having to go up them I guess, but the impact going down was not all that great. I was cruising along and on the verge of catching back up with the pace team around Mile 22, but came upon a HUGE hill that went on forever (it seemed) between Miles 22 and 23 ("Really, a hill here. Haven't we had enough of them already?!" is what I was thinking) and ended up walking up most of it. I don't feel too bad about that. All the runners around me did too. I did walk through all the water stations as well. Once I hit Mile 24 I don't know what hit me, but I was feeling fantastic and cruised on to the finish line. I lost it and started crying when I saw my family waiting for me.

At the finish and trying to hide the tears by laughing. I look like a complete idiot!

My two kiddos got to participate in the Kids 1K Fun run with Dean Karnazes. It was perfect timing too. They finished the dash about 10 minutes before I finished. They loved it and had a really fun time with all the characters - SpongeBob, Buzz Lightyear, Cinderella, Snow White, Big Bird and Elmo.

    Showing off our medals!

Anyhow back to the important stuff -

    WTD - 33 miles
MTD - 69 miles - Need one more mile to meet my goal for the month, and plan to go for a run on T-day (so I can enjoy some good food without the guilt).
