This is for more than just weight loss support....I had my first seizure on Tuesday. I'm still in the process of figuring out exactly what's going on.; but it's scary. My mom has had seizures since she was 24 (I'm 21) and has been able to keep them under control with medication.
I had my first seizure on Tuesday while I was studying in the Math Help Center at my University. I was fine shortly before, but all of a sudden I had no idea what the numbers and symbols even meant and I felt distant from everything. The next thing I know, I'm waking up in an ambulance and it feels like a dream.
I have had a CT scan already and blood tests, which both came up negative. I already began taking medication because I really don't want another seizure and my mom recommended that I take the pills. I'm getting an MRI pretty soon. It's likely I have the same type of seizure disorder as my mom.
I don't feel right. I had no idea why I felt distant and all of a sudden I wake up in an ambulance. It's so terrifying having no control of that kind of thing. I just don't know how to deal with it yet. :ohwell:

I'm sure you must be feeling pretty scared right now. Hang in there and get the tests done that you need. Follow your doctor's orders but do not be afraid to ask questions and ask for explanations. It's your life and your body--stay as informed as you can. Good luck!0

Agreed - ask questions and follow the doctor's orders. You are actually lucky to have your mom's experience to help you navigate this.
My step-brother has epilepsy. He is able to mostly control his seizures through medication, but still has them occassionally. I would suggest an ID bracelet with your information and medical stuff on it. It will help when you are at school.
Also, he tends to get more seizures when he doesn't get enough sleep, is overly stressed, or isn't eating right. So, be sure to take care of yourself!
Good luck getting this figured out.0
