Ive started IF and on my second day today. I fast for 16hours then workout and break my fast usually between 11am and 3pm with my post workout meal with an 8 hour window. I have my calories set around maintenance? Should I worry about BCAAs or be will my protein intake be sufficient enough? Im 5"1 and about 100/110 lbs and get 110/125g protein each day. Im especially asking as I train fasted. Thanks.
if you dont agree with IF, do your own research first dont yell at me for it.

I do not use them. I have done IF for about 4 weeks now. 18/6 and train fasted at 5am then break my fast around 2pm. I have seen excellent results. Down 5 lbs and several % body fat. If you get enough macros, no need for them in my opinion.0

i've done it both ways, I don't think it makes a difference. there is an IF forum on here.0

I've been following IF eating protocol for years now and with great results. The benefits I've been getting from IF are just amazing. HOWEVER, if you're a female, I would stay away from IF. Here's why:
I never thought to look at the differences between IF's effects on males vs females until someone brought it up recently, and to be honest it doesn't look too good. It seems as if all the good things about doing IF for males don't apply or even apply negatively to females.
For example, increased insulin sensitivity, decreased hunger, increased sex drive and increased muscle adaptation were all observed in male subjects under fasting. But none of these things were observed in females and some of these things had NEGATIVELY correlated with fasting when done by females.
So it seems females respond much better when fed. Please do your research and don't overlooked the hormonal differences.
If I were you, I would eat smaller meals spread throughout the day and would keep my caloric deficit minimal (200-300 cals max below baseline).0 -
