what does 'net' mean?

I can't figure out at the top of my page where it gives me my calorie goal, what I ate and then the net? what makes up the net? I feel like adding my cardio is making this confusing.

Net is the amount of calories you've eaten, minus the calories you burned in exercise.

It's like your paycheck - your gross pay is the amount of money you actually earned, but your net pay is the total you take home after they take the taxes out.

So basically, net calories are what you're left with after exercise, and if your net is low, you need to eat more. to bring that net up - for me, I always make sure I net at least my BMR.
