Tears In Heaven - Eric Clapton (written about the pain and loss Clapton felt following the death of his four-year-old son, Conor)

Am I the Only One - Barenaked Ladies (Album: Maybe you should drive)
    Patiently - O.A.R. (Album: 34th & 8th)
Release - Pearl Jam (Album: Ten)
Round Here - Counting Crows (Album: Across a Wire: Live in New York City) - this version is about 10 minutes and it is fabulous
By My Side - INXS (Album: X)
So Far Away From Me - Dire Straits (Album: Brothers in Arms)
Beautiful People - Rusted Root (Album: When I Woke)

I can provide more, if you'd like. But i doubt anyone does.

You sir, have some incredible music taste. I love it.

    Thank you.

The Temptations - I wish it would rain
Smokey Robinson - The Tracks of my Tears
Anything by Bon Iver is slow and sorta depressing.

Clapton also wrote another song about Conor called "Circus" - he took him to the Circus the day before he died and he tells of the visit through a song. It's a bit more upbeat than "Tears In Heaven", but almost twice as heartbreaking.

    Don't take the girl.
    The saddest song ever written.
It is about his wife, his childhood sweetheart who dies during childbirth.

Israel Kamakawiwo has a song I think it's Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World... I think it's beautiful but sad at the same time because it's the song my mom wants played at her funeral.

Also, The Rose by Bette Midler.
