i want to build muscle and lose weight!!!!

okay so i workout at home doing cardio and weights! but the question is how many calories do i eat to do both lose weight and build muscle???? i looked on one of the thingy sites that tells you how many calories and it says around 2000 but is that to high??? i don't wanna gain the weight back i've already lost!!! i'm 5'5' medium build have a wee bit of muscle that i want to improve on any help is much appreciated!!!!!!

You can't do both at the same time. If you're on a calorie deficit, you can retain the muscle you have by strength training. If you want to build muscle and lose fat, you eat at maintenance. You won't lose weight, but you will see tons of inches disappear.0

You need to eat to build muscle. Bodybuilders call it BULKING, they eat and train until they are larger then they need to be and then they CUT diet down to see the muscles they have built up.
But you can loose fat and build muscle but it needs a very good balanced diet and weight training routine. Weight training done correctly will burn lost of fat off as it also an after burn calorie burn. The muscles need to repair after weight session so you burn more calories during this repair process.0
