I am down 35 lbs......which i am very proud of. The frustrating thing is I have lost inches everywhere but my hips! its kinda driving me nuts. Any tips on how i can remedy this. I know I cant spot reduce but any toning tips for this area to speed things up would be helpful. this is my far my biggest trouble area.

Started running, doing squats, and my hips dropped by 2inches in the last 3-4 mths.0

Squats and lunges. Scissor crunches are also really good.0

my hips are are pain to shift form also, im typical hourglass and very proportioned...but when i lsoe weight it comes from my shoulders first and works it way down, which leaves me looking VERY unproportioned lol....im positive it will all catch up eventually....well done on your loss
whats scissor crunches ???? sound interesting lol...0 -
I've heard running high knee lifts are good for that. Need a flat area like a soccer pitch or tennis court. Make your way slowly forward by lifting your knee high and across your body. The upward momentum should cause you to skip. It ends up looking like a cross between a jog and an aerobics move but I'm told it works.0

You can't spot reduce, see the link below along with thousands more from reputable sources. Anyone who says you can "lose inches from your waist/hips/arms" is trying to sell you something. Your body burns fat where it wants to, and the fat stored in your hips and thighs is usually the last to go, since this is the essential reproductive fat for women.

Just keep burning fat with cardio, weights, and eating less than you burn and your body fat will go down everywhere eventually. Your hips may not get down to super-model size, but do you really want to look like that anyway? Curvy hips is the most attractive feature of a women for straight men. Be patient, it will come off - It was the last thing to shrink on me and they are still 40", as opposed to my 27" waist. It's just how I'm shaped!0

So that would make me Bisexual?0 -
ME TOO! hahaha. That's the first place I gain and the last place I lose! It's frustrating. ESPECIALLY when my waist line loses inches and my hips appear even bigger lol0

My hips (and thighs) are the last to go! I've noticed that running and high knees do help. I lost an inch on my hips last month when I added running twice a week to my routine. It's not much but it's something.0

She's right. You can get fit and tone underneath the fat and that's wise, but your body will take the fat from wherever it wants to. I'm finally to the point where I'm giving my body no other choice of where to take the fat from.....it's "go to" areas are done! Just keep working on it and appreciate any fat coming off of anywhere. Your body will take it from those spots, but it sure did leave me in a position to where even when those areas got smaller, other areas lost more so I was still shaped the same way....just smaller. It's just now that I'm getting a different shape.0
