Is this cheating....

I have just removed my 1st few weigh in's from last year... To start fresh from 3 weeks ago which is when I started up on MFP and dieting again after months!

So my start weight had changed from what it was last year, to what it was 3 weeks ago at the beggining of my new diet. Is that cheating? lol

Definitely not! I changed my start date and starting weight because I was getting complacent seeing I had lost 20 lbs. Now that it shows I've only lost 5 so far, I feel more motivated and less likely to cheat on meals.

I see no problem with starting again  I started the beginning of Sept this year, but reset all my weigh ins due to discovering Thyroid problems. I reset it 5 days ago, on medication now so I've got the ball rolling

I did the same thing, my profile goes back to last year, so if I left it from that starting weight my ticker would say I've lost 17lbs,

But I wanted to be honest with myself and reset my starting weight to that of the 17th sept 2012 which is the day I decided I need to do something about my weight before I reach 40 (another 5 years away)

I changed my starting weight to when i started losing weight a few months before I even knew what mfp was.
  • Not cheating - keeping it accurate so you know where youre working. Ive done it twice after being away on holiday!

Not at all! New campaign, new start weight, new goal weight. What you weighed a year or two years ago has no relevence to now. What you weigh now and your goal weight you want to achieve should be all that matters this time around.
