Ok I am having surgery in a week. The doctor has forbid me from excerising for three weeks. I dont want to gain weight during this time. Any suggestions? I am already at 1200 cal per day that mfp set for me. I can easily stick within the calories but and worried about not being able to excerise.....

Don't worry about losing weight in that time, your body needs to heal. If you don't want to gain, set you MFP to Maintenance and set your activity to Sedentary (since you won't be very active). That should let you know how much to eat to say at the weight you are, which may actually be higher than 1200. That's ok, don't be afraid of that. Your body will need the calories to get you well again.0

Eat at maintenance for a few weeks. Your body will require adequate nutrition to heal the damage.0

Yes, eat at maintenance.
Also, protein helps promote healing, so consider a protein supplement.0
