Calorie goals and nursing

So when you put in your profile information, the site automatically calculates your daily calorie needs to lose the weight you want. I am currently nursing my new baby, so I need more calories per day than I otherwise would. Does anybody know exactly how many extra calories are needed while breastfeeding, and is there any way to make the site reflect that?

I'm not sure how to change it, maybe someone else can help with that, but I am pretty sure you need 500 extra calories to breast feed. so maybe just put into mfp that you wish to maintain? Because I think 500 is what hey usually take off for weight loss.0

If you put nursing or breastfeeding into search under Cardiovascular Exercises you'll find several different entries, pick the one that is closest to your situation and add it every day.0

Both of the above answers are good. You can also manually edit any of your Goals at
