Feeling very discouraged

Ok so I KNOW I shouldn't weigh in the evening or fully clothed but I did anyway on Halloween night and the scale told me I was back to my starting weight! Bad enough I had gained two pounds naked at last official weigh in but I thought I wouldn't be seeing 240 again no matter the circumstances! I have not ONCE eaten over my BMR (I think it came to 1800?) since I started a month ago, even if I don't make exactly 1210 calories a day. I've been drinking water like crazy this week since I thought my two official pounds were water weight thanks to not being diligent about my water last week. The only thing I had not done regularly this week was exercise (did it yesterday though.)
The only thing I can possibly think of to explain it is that TOM might be next week. I don't know for sure because my cycles have never been completely regular. Sometimes I skip, though the last two months have been fairly normal. But would that REALLY give me that much of a gain by midweek??? (Again... yeah, I know I shouldn't have weighed in the evening with my clothes on.)
So... yeah.

In the past I've either gained 1 to 2 lbs or stayed even when TOM was coming up. Don't be discouraged. If you measured yourself before you started...it might help to measure again. In the beginning is when muscle develops which weighs more than fat so it might help to measure your success other than on the scale. Don't give up. You can do it!!0

ive gone up by 5lbs just from bloat alone, from eating too much salt.
Dont let this discourage you. Just hop right back on.0 -
I gain 6 pounds around TOM. I stopped weighing in when it was around that time.0

Yes I've also gained a few pounds around the TOM, only to lose them the following week. Our bodies fluctuate so much during the day and also throughout the month, so weighing in once a week in the morning will give you the most accurate results. Don't give up! We all have bad days/weekends/whatever, but you just have to start the next day over and try to do better. It really is a daily struggle.
So over the next week or two, try to drink plenty of water, stick to your 1,210 calories, and do some sort of exercise every day. I bet you'll see the scale move. :bigsmile:0
