Body Bugg question

To body Bugg users, Do you need to have the online subscription to use the body bugg? I have reached my weight loss goal before I discovered MFP. I like this website for the tracking of calories and exercise. I was thinking of bidding on Ebay,for the body bugg, but I am not interested in the online subscription. I just want the accurate calorie burn. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks, in advance.

If the online subscription is not needed, any suggestion on the model choice.

    I believe that you will need the online subscription unless you buy the digital display. I don't have the digital display because the bodybugg was $200 and I didn't want to spend $80 for the digital display to see how many calories I burned each day. The only thing I'm not sure of is how you would clear the memory without having the online subscription. You may want to call them & ask some questions about it just to be sure before you purchase it.
