Does anyone know if it is worth it to get personal training certification by National Council for Certified Personal Trainers? I ask because there is a Groupon for it. I want to get certified, but don't want to go for something that isn't accepted most places.

The fact that it is on groupon should be a disqualifier. No reputable certifying body would market itself that way. Plus, there are other advantages - like continuing ed & prof support w/a reputable org.0

I saw the same Groupon. This is an article I found when I was researching this,http://www.livestrong.com/article/43830-top-personal-trainer-certification-organizations/. Hope it helps.0

Thanks. I figured as much, since the original price was so low, but just wanted to check beforehand.0

By the way, i saw this recently in my area (Philadelphia). At first i was skeptical but i then noticed it is on the accreditation page of NCCA, which is important and meaningful. Heres the NCCA/ICE website just so you can see for yourself.
