I'm unclear about this. . Are the stages defined somewhere? What characterizes each stage and how many stages are there?

Thanks for the help. . I'm planning to show that I"m not a clinger so I can text, call, email, skype, fed-ex, write, send-flowers, and hand-deliver a note to her explaining that she's wrong about me!
