Hello everyone! I am thinking about getting my belly button pierced now that I have slimmed down. I just have a couple questions since I am a VERY shy girl when it comes to this stuff.

Do I just walk in and request to have it done? And its only $20, how much do I tip?

Thanks!:flowerforyou:

Walk in to the studio and tell them what you want. They will tell you how to clean it and take care of it. I usually try to tip pretty well so I would say $5 for a $20 job.

Also if they give you the option of needle or gun, go for the needle. It will heal quicker. Guns suck

I am thinking about getting this done as well. I am sure you can call them to see if you can just walk in or not. I always tip 20 to 25% of the amount I paid for the service.

Had mine done a few years ago. No pain, no problems with it. I love it. We don't tip for stuff like this in England.

Lordy, In Canada it costs us 85-100$ for a Navel piercing! Make sure the person you go to is very clean (sanitizes, wears gloves, uses surgical steel bars, watch him/her open the need etc).
I made the unfortunate decision to have mine done in India on a backpacking trip. The piercer was not very qualified and messed up, and about a month later my stomach rejected it and now I have a scar.
Not completely his fault, on the road it was really hard for me to keep up with the cleaning and there is absolutely no resources for piercing solution. Make sure you go to a place that you feel totally comfy in!
The month that I DID have the piercing, I LOVED it. Depending on the scaring, I may try and get it done here in Canada.
  • I Love mine, but never had to give a tip x
  • I had mine done 20 years ago..... I bottled a tattoo, so felt I had to have something done.... Lol. No regrets thou ... X
