Hi there,

I'm new(ish) here - I've posted some and have been logging for about 5 weeks. I really love these boards and MFP, it's amazing.

I am a 35 year-old single mum with an almost 17 year-old son, a 6 year old yellow lab who thinks he's a tiny lap dog, a lovely boyfriend of 4 years and a terrific job in non-profit. I was just diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, and started Jenny Craig at 239.6lbs. My initial goal is 160lbs, and I've lost 23.6lbs in 7 weeks. My medication isn't really causing problems with weight loss, but i do need to be careful about exercise and my joints.

I just started a weight training routine with 5lb weights at home every other day, and I walk my dog several times a week. When I get under 200lbs I'm going to try the C25K program. I feel like a human should be able to run 5k, even with RA. Perhaps my son will get into it with me.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and please, add me as a friend if you want!
