what should you do when your way over your sodium intake. Mines 2,500.. I've had 8,390. How will this affect my weight loss?
The majority is from soya sauce. what should i do drink more water?

How did you manage to consume that much sodium! Most days I barely go over 1000!0 -
well if you know that theres 1,160 in a tsp of soya sauce. I used it for a stir fry0

I know, I'm just saying that that is a bit much. No offence intended, I also can't stand soy sauce... Good luck anyway!:happy:0 -
The only thing I'm aware you really can do is drink plenty of water and sweat. It'll take a couple day to lose any water weight you might gain, but it's important to remember it's just water0

Probably expect a weight gain tomorrow or the next couple of days. I'd drink more water and eat something with potassium, such as a banana. Don't know if the last 2 things have any effect, but it doesn't do anything bad.0

In terms of fat loss, it won't matter one hill of beans.
In terms of the number on the scale... expect a temporary increase for the next few days. I've gained as much as 8 pounds overnight from a really high sodium meal!0 -
Just depends on the person. Sodium is different for everyone. It doesnt effect me much at all so i pay almost no attention to sodium intake. I do have a sodium goal as part of my food log but I go over that goal every single day. I had over 1000mg of sodium today at breakfast. My wife on the other hand has to watch it closely or she will swell up. So it just varies from person to person.0

I try to watch mine, but just because I get bloated and feel kind of blah. And yes the scale will go up temporarily because of the water, but it's not FAT gain.0

You'll be pleased to hear tht the China Lily brand of soya sauce contains just 570 mg of sodium per TABLESPOON!0 -

Sodium won't really affect "true" weightloss (meaning body fat).0
