this is my usual schedule:
6:30 - wake up, have breakfast...I usually do a few minutes of dishwashing/kitchen cleaning in the morning.
then I have my classes during the day from 8-3ish. I don't exactly 'sit' all day and do nothing, I get up and walk around for maybe 3 minutes at a time, about 8 times during the day.
then when I get home at 3:30, I usually get up and do some house work for about 20 minutes, and I walk back and forth to get stuff every now and then.
I have MFP on "sedentary" right now though, because during my classes I'm just sitting and not walking around much. and when I get home, I sit at my desk and do work, and only get up occassionally - I don't think I'm as active as say, if I were working as a salesperson or teacher.
so what do you think? sedentary or lightly active? thanks!

I'd say you were living a Sedentary lifestyle. This is a type of lifestyle with no or irregular physical activity. if you think of activity as being defined as something that increases your heart rate. Possibly leaving you a little out of breath. Aim for at least one 30 mins constant session every single day to be classed as light activity would be my guess.0

If you eat at your goal calories, are you losing at the rate that you expect? If you are set at sedentary, but are losing faster than the number of pounds per week that you are looking for, then change to lightly active. To some extent it depends on how much of your activity you choose to log, as opposed to include in your base activity level.0

Sedentary. Lightly active would involve something like 30 minutes of brisk walking 3 times a week.0
