Stress Eater - Patterns...

My MO is this.....I eat when I am stressed...Now I'm not talking about "horrible stress". I'm talking about "daily stress". For example, I can't watch Season 5 of Breaking Bad because it is no longer available, my car needs gas but it's cold and I don't want to go outside and get gas, I got yelled at at work for the 5th time today, my cat is sick, I forgot to take out the garbage, etc. You can see the pattern. Does anyone else have this problem? How do you stop and NOT EAT........

You are not alone!! I am also a stress eater and I also will eat no matter what the degree of stress is. I think it has to do with the fact that we seek comfort when stressed and the easiest comfort to find is something that we are familiar with which is food.0

Hey!! I also have that problem! What I try to do (and I say try, because some days can get the worst of you out) is not have any unhealthy snacks, control them or something.
For example, I want a big glass of Nesquick and a toast with Nutella because my body is craving chocolate just like the Cookie Monster craves cookies... what I do is have some chocolate coated cereal that doesn't have a lot of sugar, salt or fat (especially saturated), and I have a bowl of that instead. I get my chocolate fix, my Nesquick fix, and it was probably healthier.
But some days I succumb to Nutella..
Just try to make most of your days good eating days, because one slip won't kill the progress you've made. But try to keep it punctual0
