My story and my many NSV

Hey Everyone,
I have been using MFP since March this year, I started out at 295 and have trimmed down to 210. (5 more to go).
The biggest thing for me have been the changes in my life. I have always been a bigger guy, and really didn't worry to much about my size. Until one day I was told I had high blood pressure and needed meds, then I was told I need to use a CPAP machine because I have sleep apnea. I was like oh well, this means I'm just getting older. About two years ago I lost my father and that just sent me into a spiral. I got up to 310 and was not moving at all, calling in sick for work, spending hours on the couch, not a good scene.
Then like someone turned on the lights and I saw what I looked like, MAN was that a shock. I started slow. Watching what I ate, then one day I started using the gym in my condo. I started on a stationary bike, didn't like it. Moved to the treadmill, much better. As the warmer weather hit, I moved my work outs outside. Mainly walking. I started out walking 1 or 2 km, then 3 or 4. By the end of the summer I was walking 8 or 9 km a day. I also did a 10 km run/walk for the United Way (my first one). Now that I have moved my workouts back inside (it gets cold and I don't like the cold), I decided to up the routine. I have now gone from walking to jogging 7 to 9 km a day. I have a family member who is a personal trainer and when she saw me, she went bananas.
People began to notice change and I began to notice change. Clothes that looked like I was wearing a tarp. So I got myself a new wardrobe. Meals (junk food) that I would crave now I don't even think twice about. The amount of food consumption had halved. AND the biggest one was the way the opposite gender was looking at me. Talk about a NSV.
When people ask me what I am doing to loose so much, or what "diet" I am on, I just smile and tell them no "diet" just got healthy. I do credit MFP for a lot of my success and I do want to thank all those who post on the forums, you have kept me motivated.
Thanks for reading and THANKS for the motivation. Keep up the good work everyone and I'll see you in the funny papers.
