WHAT IF

what if I listened to my doctor and did everything I was supposed to. What if I kept to goals that I set for myself. What if I stopped sabatoging my own good work through eating.

And then I realized ENOUGH with the what ifs. Im done looking at the would haves, could haves, should haves, but didin't. Im finished listening to the little part of me that keeps telling me YOU CANT DO IT!. Im done listening to people around me who tell me it will never happen with out surgary. IM DONE FINISHED THERE IS NOONE THERE TO LISTEN TO THE VOICES.

Instead I CAN and I WILL has come in to the picture. I can and will lose the weight I need to in order to healthy with out having sergury to do it. I can and will say no to the left over food that people tell me I can eat. I can and will say to voice in me there is nothing like today to go out and walk. Most of all I will have the courage to stand up to people and say YOU HAVE NO EFFECT OR POWER OVER ME ANY MORE.

Now that the I can and will has come into the picture there are a few more things that have to be done.

start recording what i put in to my mouth again
work on not going over calorie target
start doing more exercise, mostly just walking for 1/2 hour at a time
BY the time this baby comes in 19 weeks I will be healthier and stronger.

    So you are pregnant and trying to lose weight? Or you are just trying to maintain until after the birth?

    Hi, welcome to mfp, my name is Kimberlee, 49. I like your attitude about all of this. It is hard when everyone tells you that you can't do something. It makes me try harder just to prove them wrong. The voices in our heads try to sabotage us, but we do have to stop them and overcome. I know that you can do this.     Welcome to my world...the I cans and I will's and the I did it's. I too for many years thought that way if I had only or if this doesn't work. I've given up over the years on jobs, people, cars and many other things because of that type of thinking. Now I spend my time thinking of what I have done, what I can do and what I will do. I listen to my doctor, I eat healthy and I set attainable goals. Keep in touch and best of luck.

    Stick with it, it isn't that tough when you really want something and "know that you can have it."
