Uphill Mountain Biking? Help please...

I understand that I need a heart monitor, but I haven't had the money to purchase one yet, and I want to invest in a good one.
With that being said, I biked about 2.25 miles uphill today (mountain biking) and I just need an estimate about how many calories I burned. I really have no idea. I weigh about 120 pounds. I have no idea what speed I was going.
But a good estimate from anybody?
Thank so much!!

Well its kind of hard to estimate....depending on what gear you were in, how steep the hill is, any wind resistance, were you out of breath, how long were you riding before the hill....how is your conditioning etc..... Unfortunately there are many factors to consider?
I think a heart rate monitor would be helpful, and I saved a little each week until I was able to buy one on ebay for a real cheap price.0
